If you or anyone you know in the 518 (& beyond) are looking to learn, please share this post and invite your friends and family to come skate with us!
Even if you don’t skate, someone you know may have always wanted to try. This meet-up is for everyone- especially women, LGBTQ+ & youth!
No one should EVER feel discouraged or intimidated to skate! We have your backs and will lift you up when you fall down.
Located at the "Blue Banks" Skate park in Washington Park, Madison Ave, Albany, NY
We teamed up with other local skaters to provide some skateboards and gear for beginners to use during the meetup, and even some support lessons. So even if you don’t have a skateboard, we got a bunch of boards for you to borrow!
We will also be providing light refreshments! We will be raffling off free gear & gift cards! We encourage you to get out and skate!

Noteworthy Resources’ Skate Albany Meet-ups connect & empower women, LGBTQ+ & youth in the Capital District to skateboard at their local skate park! This is a monthly program that gives women, youth & LGBTQ+/non-binary skateboarders a safe space to network, enhance skating skills, & share resources for holistic wellness. The Skate Albany Meet-ups are centered around building our skate community, especially getting more women, LGBTQ+ & youth to learn how to skate and connect with one another. 

Noteworthy Resources provides weekly mini sessions to keep the momentum going, teach skateboarding lessons, and sustain a safe and supportive environment for participants. The Skate Albany Meet-ups provide skateboards, protective gear, refreshments, resources, and giveaways monthly.
