We will be providing education surrounding the history and founding of the ballroom scene and it’s impact within LGBTQIA+ Culture and Mainstream (i.e., hip hop, R&B, Fashion, etc…).
We will also be highlighting different organizations and services that they provide at these workshops (i.e., STI testing, TGNCNB resources, Mental Health resources, etc…).
Stay on the look out as we mention and highlight these services so that community can obtain them.

Hello my name is jahsier tucker also known as the ICONIC MOTHER JUJU BEE EGYPT ENCORE RAH-KEN. I live in the capital region and started ballroom when I was 12 years old and I am currently 26 years old! so I have been doing ballroom for 14 years. From there I have created safe spaces and founded the house of rahken breaking down stereotypes and boundaries ! I started off by walking runway snatching trophies for that specific category from the age of 12 to 16 then at the age of 16 I wanted to move on to vogue so I started practicing, watching videos , following those who have inspired me , taking notes etc! Won my first trophy for vouge in 2017 which was a big success for me from there on went into sex siren and best dressed ! I’ve won many battles and trophies and the glitz and glamour of it all but ballroom has taught me strength, power, endurance, and beauty within shapes colors and sizes ! My mission is to create spaces for individuals to feel safe , comfortable, happy and respected ! The house of rahken was founded so that individuals of all ages , colors backgrounds could have a mentor , guidance throughout their life and or the life they choose ! Preparing them for life journeys , Kiki balls mainstream balls and community events !
