Carrier Connection: Building Connections, One Carrier at a Time
Carrier Connection is more than a baby carrier lending library—it’s a community dedicated to supporting caregivers on their babywearing journey. From carrier rentals to expert education and personalized support, Carrier Connection empowers parents and caregivers with the tools they need to bond with their children in comfort and confidence. Our mission is to make babywearing accessible to all, fostering connection between caregivers, their children, and a broader community of support.
About Our Founder: Rachael Southworth
Hi, I’m Rachael Southworth, the founding educator of Carrier Connection. My journey into babywearing began after the home birth of my second child, inspired by the support and knowledge shared by birth workers. Drawn to the power of babywearing to foster connection and confidence, I pursued formal training to deepen my expertise.
My qualifications include:
Completion of the Babywearing for Perinatal Professionals course
Advanced education with Adjoyn
Volunteer leadership with New York Babywearing, a nonprofit babywearing library
Through these experiences, I saw how many caregivers struggled to find the "best" carrier for their needs. I realized there is no single "best" carrier—only the one that works best for each family. Frustrated by the lack of access to babywearing libraries in many communities, I founded Carrier Connection to fill this gap. By offering nationwide access to a lending library and virtual support, I aim to provide every caregiver with the resources, education, and confidence to babywear their way.
Our Values
Empowerment: Giving caregivers the knowledge and confidence to babywear successfully.
Accessibility: Providing a diverse range of carriers for all stages and lifestyles.
Sustainability: Promoting preloved carrier rentals and sales to support eco-friendly parenting.
Community: Fostering a space where caregivers can connect, learn, and grow together.
Whether you’re looking to borrow, buy, or learn, Carrier Connection is here to support you every step of the way. Let’s build connections together—for you, your baby, and our community.
