About the Hosts:
Coach Bree is an Urban Rock Muralist who brings accessible and sustainable art into Black Indigenous People of Color communities. She offers year round artist coaching and community building workshops to schools, orgs, and companies.
Coach Bree’s undergraduate education coupled with professional experience in youth development led to the development and launch of The Albany Rock Project (ARP). Through ARP Coach Bree commissions artists to paint inspiration images and words on rocks then places them in urban parks for community members to be inspired by. The rocks inspire hope, joy and a connection to the community.
The Albany Rock Project was inspired by Coach Bree’s work as a social-emotional educator and desire to return to the Albany area to support hometown students during the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coach Bree believes that the project will not only, support physical activity, visual arts education, and mindfulness among the Albany community, but will also help to expand advertising and exposure for small local businesses, tourist attractions, and hidden gems throughout the city.
