NWR is the first nonprofit that incorporates mental, emotional, social, and physical support and resources through skateboarding in NYS!The Skate Albany program promotes empowerment, life skills education, and building upon one’s sense of belonging and self-esteem. provide individuals and families activities strategically and intentionally designed to bring about impact in their holistic well-being through skateboarding.

Skate Albany Meet-ups are held every 2nd Saturday 4-7pm monthly at the Albany Skate Park. During the meetups, NWR hosts free group lessons, free raffle prizes, local creative vendors, skateboard and protective gear to borrow, light refreshments, good vibes, and music!
