Hosted by Hive— Meetings every Monday 730pm!
Neurodiverse simply means to “think differently.” We use this term in order to move away from stigmatized and medicalized terms such as “mental illness.” This group is open to everyone, whether you have an official diagnosis, a self-diagnosis, feel different, or simply want to participate as an ally.
Neurodivergent individuals often struggle to meet societal expectations designed for a neurotypical population. This group aims to provide a safe space for neurodivergent individuals to share our experiences, find ways to support each other on a personal level, and discuss the ways we can work towards the structural changes we would need to improve our community’s quality of life, at large. We aim to empower each other by viewing cognitive diversity as different but not lesser.
