Lives of First Generation Americans Workshop

  • Noteworthy Resources of Albany, Inc. United States (map)

If you are first-generation American you will benefit from attending from this workshop regarding culture norms, resources & wellbeing.

Noteworthy Resources' president & founder, Tatiana Gjergji, is first-generation American whose parents emigrated from Albania & Montenegro in the mid-late 1960s and started Noteworthy Resources because she noticed she and her family were different from other Americans.

As a first-generation American, Tatiana wants to provide this empowering, educational and supportive workshop to connect with other first-generation Americans!

We plan on discussing and exploring the relatable feelings, responsibilities, and how this country, the “Land of Opportunity,” is not always seen as the same kind of imagination of self that early-generation Americans are. We are touch upon cultural differences & similarities, lack of resources & support, language barriers, roles we played at home & our community & etc.

We welcome first generation humans of from all over, of all races, ethnicities, genders, religions & etc. to join us as we dive into this deep topic of identity and how we can live as a commUNITY to help support one another.
