RESCHEDULED TO THURSDAY, SEPT. 3RD DUE TO THE RAIN!
THIS MONTH WE WILL BE MEETING IN PERSON TO LEARN HOW TO SKATEBOARD!!!
There are sooooo many stories of skaters who have expressed how skateboarding saved their lives on so many levels and enhanced their own mental wellness!!
Skateboarding is an art form where skaters get to express themselves to the community and the world. Self-esteem, confidence and courage are essential to learning how to skateboard and we give skaters an empowering and supportive platform for participants to grow and embrace themselves. This brings massive positive change not just to the individual skater but to youth who look up to their elders and see what they can accomplish once they put their minds to it.
Tatiana will be teaching you how to skate- basic tips for beginners !
We will be meeting at 6:30pm at Empire Plaza..walk up the stairs above the NYS museum and we will be meeting there overlooking the church on Madison Ave.
WE PROVIDE EVERYTHING YOU NEED (BOARDS, PROTECTIVE GEAR) JUST BRING WATER AND YOUR COURAGE =) Remember, when you attend and skateboarding around others you must wear a mask. We have and will be enforcing it at each event we host. We also remind people during the event too to either wear one or stay at least 6 feet away for safety purposes and comfort level of others.
Safety Risk Note: No matter how careful the participants and the instructors are, no matter what safety equipment is used and worn, and what precautions are taken, there is an inherent risk that cannot be eliminated. The risk of injury includes minor injuries such as bruises, scrapes, and more serious injuries such as broken bones, dislocations, sprains, and catastrophic injuries such as permanent paralysis or even death due to falls on the back, neck or head.
(PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING & WEARING A MASK OBVIOUSLY)
